Dan Denton
| Distribution Center Manager
|
Growing up in "the fruit basket of the world," it was only natural that Dan ended up in the produce industry. He was born and raised in the foothills of Fresno County and spent many summers working in the industry while attending college. After graduating, Dan enjoyed a 20-year career managing tree fruit cold storages in the Central Valley before coming to Calpine.
What is Dan's favorite part of the job? "The new challenges we face daily." These challenges are why he's committed to finding the best ways to do things, striving to help his staff work smarter, and always paying attention to the detail. But at the end of the day, he says "it's all about the people and the relationships we build with them."
When he isn't busy with his duties at Calpine, Dan enjoys spending time with his family most. He and his wife also stay busy by volunteering with the swimming and water polo teams in their area.

Greg Jantzen, a native of the San Joaquin Valley, was raised in Madera and became a partner in the family farming operation in Dinuba, right out of college. Being part of a stone fruit grower, packer and shipper operation, Greg was asked by a Calpine salesman who he had been purchasing from, to look into an open position at the Dinuba facility.
Why does Greg enjoy working for Calpine? "This company does a very good job of treating its employees right," he says. "Everyone I work with I enjoy being around, especially the men who work directly under me. I feel blessed to be in the position that I am in."
Away from his role at Calpine, Greg has a great family that he likes to spend his time with. He also is involved in a local church body and supports numerous youth programs associated with it.
